Movie A Day: Day 17

The Bourne Identity (2002 film)

Todays movie starts the Bourne trilogy. Its the Bourne Identity.

This movie is about a man named Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) who is found by some fishermen, floating in the ocean with two bullets in his back. He doesn’t remember who he is or why he was shot but he does know lots of different skills but he doesn’t know where he learned them. He also finds the address of a Swiss bank implanted in his hip. He is given some clean clothes and a bit of money to go to Switzerland and see what he left in the bank. While in the bank he meets a woman named Marie (Franka Potente). The clues Bourne finds after, leaves him solving a puzzle that will tell him who he is all the while he and Marie are being chased by agents (including Clive Owen) from a secret government organization.

The Bourne Identity is a good action movie. It has a decent plot and plenty of intrigue. The characters are good (especially Clive Owens character The Professor) and you will watch the movie all the way the end.

Recommendation: Buy (buy all the trilogy in a pack, don’t pay full price)

Tomorrow will be part two of the trilogy, The Bourne Supremacy

Movie A Day: Day 16

Time to start some serious spy movies. Today is the International

This movie is about Interpol Agent Louis Salinger (Clive Owen) and Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts) who are trying to take down one of the biggest banks in the world. they suspect that the bank is involved in everything illegal that a bank can be involved in, including weapons dealing, money laundering, and destabilizing governments. The chase leads Salinger and Whitman all around the world to cities like Berlin, Madrid and New York trying to find clues while the bank tries to stop them.

This movie may not sound like it has lots of action but it does. The story is a bit hard to follow at some times but that’s probably just me. There is everything that should be in an action movie, shooting, running, bad guys, intrigue and suspense. Its a movie that leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Recommendation: Buy

Tomorrow I’m going to start watching the Bourne Trilogy
